Essential Knife Skills

$95.00Often under-appreciated, this class is an important part of the cooking process.
In this class, students will learn proper knife selection, handling, sharpening and care. Emphasizing professional techniques and skills, students will learn efficient ways to prepare core products used as a base for most recipes, making meal preparation less time consuming and more enjoyable. Following short demonstrations, students will practice peeling, dicing, slicing, mincing, chopping and julienne techniques on a variety of products. The goal of the class is to learn proper knife handling to increase efficiency and speed, while emphasizing organization, safety and enjoyment.
Knives will be provided.
